1. What Cookies Are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. We also use similar technologies such as localStorage, which stores small values in your browser. In this policy we refer to all of them as "cookies".

2. Categories We Use

Strictly necessary (always on). Required for the site to function and cannot be switched off. These include your authentication session for the billing portal, Stripe's fraud-prevention and checkout cookies, and the record of your own cookie choice (`ae_cookie_consent`).

Analytics (consent required). Aggregate, privacy-respecting measurement of page views and traffic sources so we can improve the site. These load only after you accept.

Marketing (consent required). Advertising and remarketing technologies used to measure campaign performance. These load only after you accept.

We do not currently load any analytics or marketing cookies before consent is given. If we add a provider in one of these categories, it will be gated behind the same consent control.

3. Third-Party Cookies

Stripe sets cookies during checkout and in the billing portal for payment processing and fraud detection. These are strictly necessary when you initiate a payment.

Supabase stores an authentication token in your browser when you sign in to the billing portal. This is strictly necessary for that feature.

Google Fonts is loaded to render site typography and may log your IP address as part of serving the request.

4. Managing Your Choices

When you first visit, a banner lets you accept all, reject non-essential cookies, or choose categories individually. Nothing outside the strictly necessary category loads until you opt in.

You can change your decision at any time using the "Cookie Preferences" link in the site footer.

You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may break checkout or the billing portal.

We store your consent choice for 12 months, after which we will ask again.

5. Legal Basis

Strictly necessary cookies are set on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating the site. All other cookies are set only with your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
